This seldom-seen silent film concerns a legend about Petr Parléř (1330-99), architect to Charles IV, entrusted with the task of building the Gothic Saint Vitus Cathedral in Prague. As his grand construction nears completion, Parléř has to deal with sabotage attempts by his rivals as well as rumours that his masterpiece is the work of the Devil and is doomed to collapse.
But what if the architect really had made some sort of a pact with the Devil?
